When to choose the Grand Tableau

Reach for a short spread when your question is single and time-bound: whether to send the message today, how a meeting is likely to go, what comes next with one specific person. The Grand Tableau is the opposite tool. Use it when several parts of your life feel tangled together, when you are at a turning point and want the whole landscape rather than one answer, or when you want to see how work, money and relationships are currently influencing each other. It asks more of you in return: thirty-six cards take time to read, and the useful detail usually comes from the relationships between them rather than from any single card. If the system is new to you, start with three cards and work up.
